NJ Justices To Review Insurer's Arbitration Fight With Condo

Law360 (July 21, 2021, 8:01 PM EDT) -- The New Jersey Supreme Court has agreed to review an appeals court's reinstatement of a condominium association's suit seeking a $1.73 million judgment from Kinsale Insurance Co. over its policyholder's construction defects.

The state high court granted Kinsale's petition for consideration Tuesday. In March, the appellate division of New Jersey Superior Court had reversed a lower court's dismissal of the Crystal Point Condominium Association's suit against Kinsale.

Crystal Point is a nonprofit organization managing a 42-floor condo building in Jersey City. According to court records, the association's expert inspection has shown construction defects in the building's balconies.
