Deals Rumor Mill: IQiyi, Alvogen, JC Flowers

By Benjamin Horney (September 26, 2017, 5:32 PM EDT) -- Chinese internet search giant Baidu Inc. is preparing for a potential U.S. initial public offering of shares in its video streaming service that could value the Netflix-style business at as much as $10 billion, according to a Tuesday report from Reuters. The report said Baidu is considering an IPO for iQiyi as soon as early next year. The company intends to begin talks with banks and other advisers soon, the report noted. The iQiyi business is backed by the likes of Hillhouse Capital, IDG Capital and Sequoia Capital, and rumors of an impending IPO of the company date back to December....
