Andrew Cuomo signed the Protect Women from Pregnancy Discrimination bill, which requires employers to provide reasonable accommodations for pregnant employees. (The law is effective Jan. 19, 2016.) With the new law, New York joins a steadily increasing number of states and cities that require employers to provide accommodations to pregnant employees.
