Dodge Owner Asks 2nd Circ. To Revive Tire Defect Claims

Law360 (October 15, 2020, 6:17 PM EDT) -- The owner of a Dodge minivan on Thursday pushed the Second Circuit to reinstate him as class representative in a suit alleging that Chrysler and Dodge vehicles made by FCA US LLC had faulty tire monitoring systems, saying his claims became ripe after he experienced the defect, which was within the statute of limitations.

In a 45-page brief, Thomas Hromowyk told the appeals court that his claim was only cognizable in 2015, when the defect manifested by causing a tire on his vehicle to suddenly deflate, and he sued within three years.
