Painkiller Battles Loom Over NFL Despite Early Success

Law360, New York (May 18, 2017, 2:58 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge this week decimated a lawsuit claiming 32 NFL teams and team doctors pushed players to abuse prescription painkillers, though the threat of an appeal and other individual claims over what some former players argue is a pervasive problem will continue to hang over the league.
