Atlantic City Wireless Gambling Bill Heads To Governor

Law360, New York (June 29, 2012, 5:07 PM EDT) -- The New Jersey Senate on Thursday gave final approval to a bill allowing patrons of Atlantic City, N.J.'s casinos to place bets away from the gaming floor using wireless mobile devices, sending the measure to Gov. Chris Christie.

Supporters of the legislation, which also would make other changes to casino regulations, have said enabling casinos to offer mobile gaming within their premises will help the city, an important economic engine for the state, evolve and compete with gambling options in other states.
