Cushman Can't Retry Ex-Worker's $1.28M Age Bias Win

Law360 (March 7, 2018, 9:06 PM EST) -- A Massachusetts federal judge Wednesday denied commercial real estate company Cushman & Wakefield's request for a new trial or a reversal of a jury’s finding — and $1.28 million award — that it fired an employee based on his age, saying the evidence at trial was sufficient.

U.S. District Judge Allison D. Burroughs said the jury was not out of line when it found that Cushman & Wakefield Inc.’s asserted reasoning for firing Yury Rinsky was false.
