Fla. Developer, Marketer Agree To Pay $6.5M For Spam Texts

Law360, New York (February 5, 2014, 5:46 PM EST) -- A pair of Florida companies have agreed to pay up to $6.5 million to settle a proposed class action alleging they sent spam text messages to thousands of cellphone numbers taken from public voting records, according to a motion filed in Florida federal court Tuesday.
