Abbott Hit With Shareholder Suit Over Depakote Marketing

Law360, New York (April 10, 2012, 8:21 PM EDT) -- A union pension fund shareholder sued Abbott Laboratories Inc. and its directors in Illinois federal court Tuesday, alleging they let anti-seizure drug Depakote be illegally marketed for off-label use, resulting in more than $1.3 billion in liability under the False Claims Act and other laws.
