New OSU Sex Assault Class Complaint Rejected, For Now

By Zachary Zagger (January 6, 2020, 7:01 PM EST) -- An Ohio federal judge on Monday rejected a second amended class action complaint from a group of alleged sexual assault victims of a former Ohio State University sports doctor, at least for now, again demanding the sides focus on ongoing mediation.

The Ohio State University is facing claims in several consolidated lawsuits from hundreds of former athletes and others who say the now-deceased university sports doctor Richard Strauss sexually abused or assaulted them.

In November, some of the plaintiffs filed a sweeping, 72-page second amended class action complaint, which OSU later opposed, arguing it was "both procedurally and substantively improper."...
