Locks Law Firm Can't Stop NFL Concussion Award Objection

By Ryan Boysen (August 28, 2018, 4:49 PM EDT) -- Locks Law Firm, which represents former NFL players in a landmark concussion settlement, can't kill outright an objection the NFL lodged to one player's approval for benefits, the Pennsylvania federal court overseeing the settlement ruled Monday, setting the stage for a protracted battle over his approval status.

The NFL objected on July 12 to a finding by the special master overseeing the claims approval process, which found that even though the player, who is not identified in court documents, had been psychologically tested before new testing requirements went into effect, his claim was still valid.
