NFL Taps Legal Heavyweights With Filing Of 2nd Circ. Brief

By Zachary Zagger (October 26, 2015, 11:10 PM EDT) -- The NFL brought in a trio of federal appellate experts from Bancroft PLLC led by a former U.S. solicitor general as it filed its opening brief Monday in its Second Circuit appeal of the Deflategate court decision overturning New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's four-game suspension.

After falling in the district court, the league has signed former U.S. Solicitor General Paul D. Clement of Bancroft along with Bancroft partner Erin E. Murphy and of counsel Michael H. McGinley and partners to its legal team, which already includes Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
