Ex-Wrestlers Hit Back On WWE Dismissal Bid In Royalty Row

Law360, New York (January 10, 2017, 5:51 PM EST) -- A pair of former wrestlers claiming World Wrestling Entertainment stiffed them of royalties shot back Monday against an attempt to dismiss their suit on the grounds their contracts were never meant to cover streaming services.

Marcus Bagwell and Scott Levy’s motion disputed the WWE’s claims that a reference to “technologies not yet created” was intended to cover advancements in physical recording media, instead arguing that it does cover and entitle them to royalties from the company’s streaming service.
