Pa. Lawmaker Lobs Bill To Allow Sports Betting

Law360, New York (February 17, 2017, 6:25 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania lawmaker wants the state to legalize sports betting should federal law be changed to allow it, introducing a bill in the state House of Representatives to allow sports betting at casinos and other licensed facilities.

House Bill 519, introduced last week, would create a path for Pennsylvania’s licensed casinos to begin offering sports wagering as soon as states are permitted to do so under federal law, either through a U.S. Supreme Court decision in New Jersey’s sports betting case or by some act of Congress.
