Tech Cos. Seek Review Of Nixed $325M Anti-Poach Settlement
Law360, New York (September 5, 2014, 5:57 PM EDT) -- Google Inc., Apple Inc., Intel Corp. and Adobe Systems Inc. on Thursday urged the Ninth Circuit to vacate a California federal judge's rejection of a proposed $324.5 million settlement to a suit alleging the companies illegally agreed not to poach each other's engineers, saying the judge's reasoning was erroneous.
The four technology companies are seeking to overturn U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh's Aug. 8 ruling that refused to grant preliminary approval to the companies' settlement with software engineers that would have brought the high-profile antitrust class action closer to conclusion.
