Deals Rumor Mill: Verizon, Amaya, Delta Lloyd

By Benjamin Horney (October 7, 2016, 4:09 PM EDT) -- Verizon Wireless is hoping to pay less than the previously agreed-upon amount of $4.83 billion to acquire Yahoo Inc.'s core business, according to a Thursday report from The New York Post. According to the report, Verizon is pushing for a $1 billion discount while Yahoo is against the move. It was not exactly clear why Verizon is seeking to lower the price tag, though the report indicated it could have something to do with the recent announcement that at least 500 million of Yahoo's accounts were hacked in 2014....
