Law360, Houston (March 30, 2017, 6:28 PM EDT) -- A Houston jury on Wednesday returned a $6.4 million verdict in favor of a local cardiothoracic surgeon who had alleged Memorial Hermann Health System leaders conspired to ruin his reputation after he decided to move his practice to a different hospital.

The jury deliberated for two days before finding in favor of Dr. Miguel Gomez III, on claims he had been defamed and harmed by the hospital.
