Top Senate Aide Pleads Guilty To Lying About Press Contacts

By Chuck Stanley (October 15, 2018, 7:34 PM EDT) -- James Wolfe, who worked as the director of security for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence for three decades, pled guilty in D.C. federal court Monday to lying about his contacts with reporters who published a story about the FBI's execution of a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant.

"I'm guilty your honor," Wolfe said at the conclusion of the hearing, in which he reviewed the details of his agreement with the government to plead guilty on the single charge of lying to FBI investigators.
