Fattah's Attys Bound By Ethical Duty Despite Unpaid Bills

Chaka Fattah, D-Pa., must continue representing their client zealously in an ongoing corruption case or risk tarnishing their reputations, especially since a potential conviction could lead to an argument on appeal that the congressman suffered from ineffective counsel.
U.S. District Judge Harvey Bartle III ruled Wednesday that Mincey & Fitzpatrick LLC and Ross Legal Practice LLC could not withdraw from the corruption case even though Fattah had stopped paying his legal bills as part of what he’s said is a single-minded focus on raising money for his April primary election.
