Deals Rumor Mill: Bayer, Embraer, NIO

By Adam Rhodes (February 28, 2018, 9:47 PM EST) -- Bayer is reportedly going to earn conditional approval from the European Union's antitrust watchdog for its bid to buy Monsanto Co., according to a Wednesday report from Reuters. Citing anonymous sources, the outlet detailed that a decision from the bloc is anticipated to come before its April 5 deadline. The report comes after Reuters in early February said the German drug and chemical maker would shed its global vegetable seeds unit to assuage EU concerns related to its $63.5 billion bid to buy the agrochemical giant. Bayer previously made undisclosed commitments to the watchdog related to the deal. Bayer lobbed its bid to buy Monsanto in September 2016 for $128 per share....
