9th Circ. To Hear Consolidated Net Neutrality Challenges
Law360 (March 8, 2018, 10:09 PM EST) -- A dozen challenges seeking to overturn the Federal Communications Commission’s order ending net neutrality regulations will be consolidated and heard by the Ninth Circuit, according to a Thursday order from the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation.
A lottery was held to determine which appellate court would to hear the challenges filed by 22 state attorneys general, advocacy groups, Santa Clara county, the California Public Utilities Commission and companies like Mozilla, Etsy and Vimeo. Complaints flooded the circuit courts after the official publication of the order in the Federal Register last month.
