NJ Plaintiffs Seek To Link Up Compressor Cases

Law360 (May 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- New Jersey plaintiffs in several proposed class actions accusing Whirlpool SA, Panasonic Corp., Tecumseh Products Co. and other firms of engaging in a conspiracy to fix the prices of refrigerant compressors have asked a federal court to consolidate the litigation.

The plaintiffs asked the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey on Thursday to combine 10 direct purchaser antitrust actions pending before the court and coordinate the consolidated litigation with the indirect purchaser action also filed in the court.
