Sports Betting In NJ Months Away After High Court Win

Law360 (May 15, 2018, 11:41 PM EDT) -- With state lawmakers moving quickly to pass legislation, regulated sports betting in New Jersey could be up and running in a matter of months based on the state's preparations in anticipation of a U.S. Supreme Court decision permitting such gambling in the Garden State, attorneys say.

Following the ruling Monday to strike down a federal law prohibiting states from legalizing sports betting, experts say New Jersey officials will likely have a regulatory framework in place in the next few months that will enable sports wagering at casinos and racetracks.
