Class Action Accusing Cigna Of Collusion May Move To Philly

Law360 (July 6, 2018, 5:19 PM EDT) -- Cigna, American Health Systems and the customers suing the two asked a California federal judge Thursday to move their case to an eastern Pennsylvania court, where attorneys are coordinating similar lawsuits that also accuse Cigna of adding AHS charges to customers’ bills as if they were medical expenses.

The proposed lead plaintiffs, Jianliang Zhu and Joyce Allen, joined the defendants in asking the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California to transfer the case to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where their attorneys are handling three other cases against Cigna and AHS that have been working together for the convenience...
