Separated Immigrants Want Feds To Pay For Mental Health

Law360 (July 13, 2018, 5:56 PM EDT) -- Three immigrant mothers who were recently separated from their children at the border by federal authorities sued the Trump administration in California federal court Thursday, seeking to represent a putative class of families allegedly in need of mental health services because of the federal government's actions.

The three women, who are only identified by their initials in the complaint, want the Central District of California to order the Trump administration to cover the costs of screening members of the putative class for the mental health services they may need and to administer the services, according to the complaint.
