Ex-Contractor’s Partner Cops To Iraq War Bribery Scheme

Law360 (July 17, 2018, 9:51 PM EDT) -- An ex-U.S. military contractor’s former business partner pled guilty Monday in Alabama federal court to playing a part in a yearslong bribery scheme involving Army officials stationed at a U.S. military base in Kuwait during the Iraq War, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Finbar Charles, 62, pled guilty to one count of bribery for his role in the scheme that funneled millions of dollars to Army contracting officials in exchange for preferential treatment of Charles’ former partner, Terry Hall, in deals with the U.S....
