Aloft, Yahoo, Google Set To Mediate IM Patent Spat

Law360 (June 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The judge overseeing an infringement suit originally brought by Aloft Media LLC against Yahoo Inc., Google Inc. and AOL LLC has ordered the remaining parties into mediation, hoping that they can come to some sort of resolution regarding the online instant messaging patent spat.

On Friday, U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Love of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas issued a mediation order in the case appointing Hesha Abrams to preside over the negotiations.
