Texas Justices Pass On AT&T Lease Payment Battle

By Anne Cullen (November 30, 2018, 6:21 PM EST) -- The Texas Supreme Court opted Friday not to take up a long-running dispute between two companies fighting for ownership of a Houston-area parcel of land where an AT&T cell tower sits and years of lease payments from the carrier, rejecting AIC Management Co.'s bid to revive the case.

In an order list, the justices denied AIC's request to look into a lower appeals court decision that voided an ownership ruling in favor of the other claimant, Reddy Greensbrook Ltd., but still found AIC didn't have a valid deed to claim the land in the seven-year battle.
