Airport Food, Retail Workers Win $2.2M In Class Action

Law360 (December 14, 2018, 8:13 PM EST) -- A staffing company for food and retail service locations in airports has agreed to pay $2.2 million to settle claims that it failed to pay workers for all of their performed work, give them proper breaks or provide accurate wage statements, according to filings in California federal court Friday.

The agreement will create a net settlement amount of more than $1.3 million, after attorneys' fees and other costs are deducted, according to the joint motion for preliminary approval from Host International Inc. and a proposed class of its employees.
