Attys' Business Ties End Class Cert. Request In TCPA Suit
By Joyce Hanson (February 11, 2019, 6:49 PM EST) -- An Illinois federal judge has denied class certification to a group of consumers in a suit claiming that a vacation cruise marketing company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending unsolicited text messages, saying the plaintiff is a lawyer with "significant business ties" to the proposed class counsel.
