T-Mobile Owes IV $34M, Ericsson Owes $9M: Patent Trial Jury

By Dave Simpson (February 8, 2019, 10:47 PM EST) -- T-Mobile should pay $34 million and Ericsson Inc. should pay $9 million for infringing at least one of the wireless transmission patents held by Intellectual Ventures I LLC, a Texas federal jury said Friday.

The telecommunications companies also failed to convince the jury that 10 claims across three of Intellectual Ventures' patents were invalid, according to court records. The jury verdict form did not specify which patent or patents it believed the companies infringed.
