NY Latest To Challenge $55M Schering Deal

Law360, New York (July 24, 2009, 3:09 PM EDT) -- Yet another entity has taken issue with a settlement in which Schering-Plough Corp. and its generics subsidiary Warrick Pharmaceuticals Corp. agreed to pay $55 million to resolve several lawsuits alleging that they reported inflated prices to Medicaid.

On Thursday, New York City and certain New York counties filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts to intervene for the limited purpose of objecting to the settlement, saying its own suit against Schering and Warrick would be adversely affected.
