Suit Over Lead In Playtex Baby Bottle Coolers Tossed

Law360, New York (July 28, 2009, 1:04 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a proposed class action accusing Playtex Products Inc. of selling insulated baby-bottle coolers with dangerous levels of lead, determining that the claims do not stand up to pleading standards.

Judge Joan Humphrey Lefkow of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Friday dismissed all counts in the consolidated complaint without prejudice.
