International Finance Corp.,[1] a case in which it was asked to rule on the extent of sovereign immunity enjoyed by international organizations before U.S. courts. Jam resolved a split among the federal courts of appeals that had persisted for several years, and the high court's 7-1 ruling addressed a perceived incongruity in which international organizations enjoyed a more comprehensive form of immunity under U.S. law than did foreign states....
