Centra COO Pleads Guilty In $25M Crypto ICO Scheme Case

By Dave Simpson (July 17, 2019, 7:24 PM EDT) -- The former chief operating officer of the failed cryptocurrency company Centra Tech Inc. pled guilty to a series of securities and wire fraud charges on Wednesday in a New York federal case accusing him and two others of conning investors through a $25 million initial coin offering.

Raymond "Ray" Trapani pled guilty to nine counts, including conspiracy to commit securities fraud, securities fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, and obstruction of justice stemming from a variety of schemes, court filings show.
