Denny's Served 2nd Action Over High-Sodium Food

Law360, New York (September 2, 2009, 2:54 PM EDT) -- Denny's Corp. has been slapped with another putative class action over the sodium content of popular dishes on the restaurant chain's menu, this time by an Illinois man who claims the restaurant has deliberately misled hundreds of thousands of customers by concealing sodium levels.

The proposed class action, filed by Jason Ciszewski in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Saturday, accuses Denny's of making “indecipherable” statements intended to mislead customers about dishes containing more than a day's recommended dose of sodium,...
