Sales Rep Hits VIP Wireless With Overtime Action

Law360, New York (September 23, 2009, 6:10 PM EDT) -- VIP Wireless Inc. has been hit with a putative class action by an employee who alleges the chain of cell phone stores owes its sales workers overtime pay.

An amended class action complaint was filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleging that VIP is in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Named plaintiff Michael Haskins worked as an inside sales representative at a Pittsburgh outlet of VIP from November 2007 to Jan. 12.
