Nov. 9 Deadline For Revised Google Books Deal

Law360, New York (October 7, 2009, 6:25 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. reportedly has until Nov. 9 to rework its proposed $125 million royalty settlement with authors and publishers relating to its Google Books service after a judge hinted Wednesday that the current settlement would not be approved in its current form.

Judge Denny Chin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York gave Google a deadline of Nov. 9 to filed a revised settlement following criticism of the deal from more than 400 concerned parties, the New York Times reported Wednesday....
