Law360 (July 15, 2020, 6:45 PM EDT) -- The Trump administration on Wednesday imposed visa restrictions on Chinese technology employees, including those working for Huawei, who provide "material support" to human rights violations, a measure coming amid the U.S. and China's recent clashes over American "interference" in Beijing.
U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo imposed the sanctions under the Immigration and Nationality Act, saying that he has reason to believe that allowing certain technology workers to enter the U.S. would have "adverse foreign policy consequences," according to a department statement.
