Apple, Intel Renew Fortress Patent Claims In Amended Suit

Law360 (August 6, 2020, 9:44 PM EDT) -- Apple and Intel have filed a new and far more detailed complaint in California federal court in order to ease a judge's concerns that their original lawsuit was overly vague, accusing Fortress Investment Group LLC of orchestrating an anti-competitive patent aggregation scheme.

U.S. District Judge Edward M. Chen tossed Apple Inc. and Intel Corp.'s initial complaint last month, because they identified a "vague and overbroad" product market covering electronics patents.
