NJ Title Plaintiffs Hope Second Time's The Charm

Law360, New York (November 5, 2009, 1:54 PM EST) -- Plaintiffs who accused more than a dozen major title insurers of conspiring with a New Jersey rating bureau to fix prices have returned with a new complaint that aims to assuage previous doubts regarding the antitrust suit.

The plaintiffs — holders of title insurance policies — came back on Wednesday with their second amended consolidated complaint, reiterating their belief that the defendants, which include Fidelity National Title Insurance Co., First American Corp. and LandAmerica Financial Group Inc., illegally plotted to increase title insurance prices.
