AFL Team's Workers' Comp Suit Sent To Arbitration

Law360, New York (November 18, 2009, 5:40 PM EST) -- A federal judge has ordered the owners of the Cleveland Gladiators Arena Football League team to arbitrate claims in a related lawsuit against a unit of American International Group Inc. over premiums for a workers' compensation policy, finding that the issues fall within the scope of the arbitration agreement.

Judge P. Kevin Castel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Tuesday signed an order granting AIG subsidiary National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, PA's petition to compel.
