Alphabet CLO's Pay Plummets While Netflix's Dips

By Michele Gorman (April 11, 2022, 4:20 PM EDT) -- While the legal chiefs at technology giants Alphabet and Netflix both took home less pay in 2021 than they did the previous year, Kent Walker at Google's parent company saw a more significant decrease than David Hyman at the streaming company, according to separate U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings last week.

At Alphabet, chief legal officer and longtime employee Kent Walker took home around $14.7 million last year, about $36.2 million less than the $50.9 million he took home in 2020, according to the proxy statement.
