Restaurateurs Revive Antitrust Suit Against NBA Star

Law360, New York (April 21, 2010, 5:20 PM EDT) -- A restaurant investment firm has relaunched an antitrust suit against the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade, accusing the star guard of restraining competition in personalized memorabilia markets by backing out of a restaurant endorsement deal.

LH Equity Investments LLC lodged an amended complaint Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida claiming Wade's 2008 pullout restrained competition in the personalized sports memorabilia market, South Florida's personalized National Basketball Association memorabilia market and the national NBA personalized memorabilia market, all in violation of the...
