Bracelets Sold By Claire's Recalled Over Cadmium

Law360, New York (May 10, 2010, 5:28 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warned Monday that about 19,000 Best Friends charm bracelets sold nationwide at tween jewelry mecca Claire’s Boutiques Inc. contain dangerous levels of cadmium.

The charm bracelets — made by Dae Yeon Industries Corp. of China — were voluntarily recalled Monday after the agency discovered that the heart-shaped lock charms attached to the friendship bracelets contained high levels of the toxic metal Cadmium.
