Sony Deal In HDTV Case OK'd Over Plaintiff Opposition

Law360, New York (May 19, 2010, 7:44 PM EDT) -- A federal judge Wednesday conditionally approved a settlement between Sony Corp. and a class of up to 350,000 individuals who bought faulty high-definition televisions, but one group of plaintiffs is fighting the deal, which they said was brokered by the defendant and a carpetbagging law firm.
