NY Times Takes Shot At WSJ Over New Ad Campaign

Law360, New York (June 3, 2010, 6:45 PM EDT) -- The New York Times Co. on Thursday threatened to take legal action against rival media giant The Wall Street Journal over a recent ad campaign that the Times claims infringes its trademark rights.

In a cease-and-desist letter, Times senior counsel Richard Samson asked the Journal, which is published by Dow Jones & Co., to stop using the "Not Just Wall Street. Every Street" slogan in its advertising materials.
