Disney, OpenTV Settle Patent Litigation

Law360 (July 7, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Walt Disney Co. and OpenTV Corp. have settled a patent lawsuit over an interactive television system that Disney employs during ABC broadcasts of shows including "Monday Night Football."

Under the terms of the settlement agreement, OpenTV has granted Disney a non-exclusive, royalty-bearing license to use and to exploit the patents in suit.
