House To Hold Hearing On XM, Sirius Merger

Law360 (February 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A newly created House Antitrust Task Force will hold hearings next week over the potential anti-competitive effects of the proposed merger of satellite radio companies Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. and XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc.

Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin will testify on Feb. 28 at the hearing, and additional witnesses are to be determined, said House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers.
