Private Chefs Lose Bid To Block Food Network Show

Law360, New York (October 5, 2010, 12:26 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused to bar Food Network Inc. from launching the second season of “Private Chefs of Beverly Hills,” striking a blow to a private chefs' agency that has accused the network of stealing the concept for the show.

Judge Consuelo B. Marshall of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California ruled Monday that Private Chefs Inc. had not shown that it would likely win the trademark battle, or that it would be irreparably harmed without a temporary restraining order....
